Where Eyes Lead

Autumn is upon us and we adjust to the shorter days. Our eyes may tire in lamp light as we anticipate their startling in bright sunshine reflected on snow; we cherish the waning daylight. Is there more to see? Or does it seem that long hours of work somehow diminish our ability to take in the world around us?
